What makes Loctite® Sumo™ Glue a heavyweight while all other glues are lightweights?
- Dries 3X Faster
A Sumo Master must train hard – there is no time for waiting. Good for us, Sumo Glue dries three times faster. If you want to be a Sumo Master, you must learn to use time wisely – eating, relaxing, fixing other things…not waiting for glue! So if regular glue takes 1.5 hour to dry, Sumo Glue takes 30 minutes. Yes, Sumo Master is also good at math.
- Stronger
Just like Sumo Master is stronger than other men, Sumo Glue is stronger than other glue. So when you Sumo it, it stays glued. If you use some other glue, you may have to glue it again. That is a waste of time and we have already said that Sumo Masters have no time to waste. If you use another glue, you are a lightweight!
- Less Foaming
Lots of foam is good for shaving, ocean waves and cappuccino – not for glue. Too much foam pushes pieces apart and makes a mess. A Sumo Master does not like to be pushed around and does not like messes!
Other glue may foam up to seven or eight times its original size. Sumo Glue has significantly less foaming (50% less) than other polyurethane glues.

When glue dries, you want your project’s inner beauty to shine through…not the brownness and ugliness of dried glue. Loctite Sumo Glue dries white, and can be sanded down to a translucent color to let your project or repair be fully appreciated.
In creation, the beauty lies in what is not seen. Yes, the Sumo Master is fearsome, but he also knows beauty.
Bonds Many Substrates
Sumo Glue is like a Zen Master: It achieves oneness with all things. Sumo bonds with wood, stone, metal, ceramic, fabric, most plastics except for polyolefin (i.e., polypropylene, polyethylene), and many more substrates.. But use caution: Sumo Glue also bonds with a Sumo Master. And requires clamping, ouch!
Waterproof
Oh no! Sumo Master broke the tub! Have no fear – Sumo Glue is 100% waterproof. Fix the tub, the toilet, the boat, a water fountain…there are almost as many uses for waterproof glue as there are for water itself.
